# Time Series

Spice is a time series data platform. This means you can provide time ranges to most APIs when querying for data. Time ranges are specified as [Duration Literals](https://docs.spice.ai/~/changes/fl1GUvkHE2461izfYRLa/tutorials-and-guides/core-concepts/duration-literals).
